Football is open to athletes with;

    • Visual Impairment

CP football at the games is played at 7-a-side and includes classes 5, 6, 7 and 8. All classes comprise of ambulant athletes; class 5 being the least physically able, progressing through to class 8 who are minimally affected. Teams must include at least one athlete from either class 5 or 6.

The rules are modified from Olympic football and include a smaller field of play, no off side rule and of course the reduced number of players. Matches are also played in two, 30 minute halves.

Visually Impaired footballers play a 5-a-side version of the game and must be categorised as B2 and B3.
