On the 25th August 2002 England won the INAS FID World Football Championship beating Holland 2-1 at the Yokohama Stadium (Japan) in front of a crowd of 24,670.

Their defence of the cup in Germany (2006) started at a blistering pace with 24 goals in their three group stage games, before a disapointing 4-1deafeat to Saudi Arabia saw the World Champions knocked out at the quarter final stage.
